Mobile Gadgetry: Beware Share Online 3.0 for Nokia

If you're running Share Online with Vox and Flickr already, note that you might need to exercise some manual dexterity if you update to Share Online 3.08(7). Many users, myself included, lost their Flickr service for Share after we ran the update. As far as I know it is geographical, which is kind of weird since they gave you the service in the first place.

Here's how to get Flickr back. Click here for the config file. Copy and paste it into your phone memory and click it. Voila! It is back.

As for Ovi, I found a solution online. It didn't work for me initially then I realised I might need to shut down and restart the phone. It worked. Now I have all three services running! :D

Coding Tricks: Begone Ugly Scrollbar

If you recall, my tag board on the right had a vertical and a horizontal scrollbar. Very messy. So to remove it, all I had to do was add this snippet of code in the BODY section of the tag board CSS editor in Blogdrive:
overflow-x: hidden;
An alternative use is to embed it in your style sheet:
style="overflow:hidden"
Neat huh? Credit goes to the girlie matters.

Neat Find: 3GB Community

Here is a chance to be a pioneer in a spanking new community to rival Facebook, Multiply, and Friendster (latter of which, is by the way pretty dead now). I confess I use Facebook the most while I save Multiply for more intimate convos with old friends.

Anyhoo, the young comm 3GB has just opened its doors and it is so new it has no terms of service yet! Still, quite some many have joined and if it takes off, you can tell it must be from its snazzy Flash-based mp3 and chat interfaces.

Like most other community sites, you can upload pics, make new friends, connect with old ones, chat, blog, join groups, and listen to MP3s.

If you have any security concerns, bookmark it and wait it out. But if you love trying out new community sites, do sign up and take a look around. Kudos to them to taking on the big boys. I haven't seen very many very exciting ones sprout, so like every good clubber who hears a buzz and gets a free pass, I will swing by to check it out.
